Hong Kong's social and economic environment has changed rapidly in recent years, we are eager to meet the challenges of continuous social development and reform. Supported by the Education Bureau (EDB), Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD), Hong Kong Island School Heads Association, Kowloon Region School Heads Association, New Territories School Heads Association, and Committee on Home-School Co-operation, the Award Ceremony & VPET Project Exhibition of the “Hong Kong VPET Competition for Secondary Schools 2023/24” was held in D PARK. Titled “Shaping a Smart Community with VPET Skills”, the competition aimed to invite young generation’s ideas to solve daily life problems using emerging technologies.

Eight awards have been presented in the ceremony, including the Champions, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up, the Most Creative Award and three Award of Merit. The finalist introduced their prototypes and ideas, also answered questions from guests and the public at the ceremony to explore the creativity and application of technology with the public, and to deepen their understanding of CTAN and VPET Education.
