Riding the occasions to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), the Corporate Tech Academy Network (CTAN) has joined hands again to organise the "Hong Kong VPET Competition for Secondary Schools 2022 & VPET Project Exhibition ". Underlying the theme "To Build a Better Community with VPET skills", the competition aims to further enhance young students' understanding of VPET.
This year, around 26 teams from 24 schools joined the competition. A total of 12 final teams were shortlisted after careful deliberation. The final teams were granted industrial visits by CTAN member institutions and chance to produce their prototypes in Inno Prototype of Inno Space in HKPC Building.
The final competition was held on 8 October in HKPC Building. The final teams were required to introduce their idea with idea with a self-developed prototype in front of the judges. The judges have selected the cream of the cream as the awardees for the seven awards. In addition to the competition, participants were invited to visit the new Green Hall of HKPC Building to understand the grasp the latest green technologies and innovative solutions.
The award results will be announced in the Award Ceremony and the VPET Project Exhibition held on 5 November in D·PARK. To acknowledge the efforts of the participating students, the projects of award teams will be showcased to the public, together with the industry booths hosted by the CTAN members, to further enhance public awareness of VPET.
